Although Brain Injury Awareness Month is coming to an end this week, it is important for all of us to continue to help our service members who have been diagnosed with what the Department of Defense refers to a “invisible wounds of war.” The DoD estimates that incidences of TBI more than tripled between 2005 and 2008, and Time magazine estimated there are between 115,000 and 400,000 veterans suffering from at least mild versions of TBI.
