Warrant Officer Robert John Wilson, Pte. Demetrios Diplaros, Cpl. Mark Robert McLaren, all from 1st Battalion, Royal Canadian Regiment, were killed by an IED on Dec. 5.
U.S. Maj.-Gen. All three soldiers were from the 1st Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment based at CFB Petawawa, located west of Ottawa. Prime Minister Stephen Harper visited Petawawa to express his condolences to military families who have deeply felt the effects of the overseas military campaign. (here)
