NEWSFLASH: Another deadline approaches for 9/11 First Responders

Were you in downtown Brooklyn or Manhattan south of Houston Street in the months around 9/11? Were you in the dust cloud - even for a short time?

Did you work or volunteer on the cleanup and recovery efforts south of Canal Street or at Ground Zero, the Staten Island landfill, NYC Chief Medical Examiner's Office or the barge loading piers?

Some times it takes a while for symptoms to show up. And even if you don't have symptoms yet, you may be eligible for free WTC Health Program Benefits - regardless of immigration status.

Click here for an application or call 888-982-4748 to apply. If you are eligible, a medical provider will contact you to make an appointment for your first free medical exam. If you are eligible, you will receive free medical exams, treatment and medication.

You may also be eligible for payments from the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund. You must register by October 3, 2013. Click here for more information.

If you have questions, call NYCOSH at 855-4WTC-AID (855-498-2243) or email us.  To apply in English, Chinese or Polish, click here.
