NAVY SEAL MATTHEW MCCABE FOUND NOT GUILTY

Let me set the stage for you first:

Four civilian U.S. contractors working for Blackwater were transporting supplies for a catering company. The contractors were savagely ambushed and killed by a group of terrorists led by Ahmed Hashim Abed. These four innocent victim's bodies were then burned, dragged through the streets of Fallujah and hung from a bridge over the Euphrates River.

A Navy SEAL team captured Abed, who just also happened to be one of the military’s “most wanted” terrorists in Iraq. Some how Abed received a bloody [lip] while in the custody of the Navy SEAL team. Instead of being hailed as heroes for bringing in one of the most dangerous and murderous terrorists in the world, these brave men have been placed on trial and accused of assaulting Abed. Petty Officer 1st Class Julio Huertas, Petty Officer 2nd Class Jonathan Keefe, and Petty Officer 2nd Class Matthew McCabe could have received only a disciplinary reprimand, but insisted on a military trial to clear their names and save their military careers.

I salute these brave patriots for having the courage and resolve to demand a court martial rather than taking a bad deal offered by JAG. Kudos to our Seals, Special Forces, Rangers, Airborne, Marines, and all of our military units performing admirably in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Thomas Jefferson said it best: "The tree of liberty must occasionally be watered by the blood of tyrants and patriots."...(More here)

I also salute all of these brave patriots. Justice HAS been served.
