A repatriation ceremony was held Thursday afternoon for the latest Canadian soldier to die during the Afghan mission at CFB Trenton, in eastern Ontario.

Gov. Gen. Michaƫlle Jean, Defence Minister Peter MacKay, and Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Walt Natynczyk were on hand when the military plane carrying the body of the Cpl. Brian Pinksen landed at 2 p.m. ET.

His body will travel along the Highway of Heroes to the coroner's office in Toronto.
