October 1, 2010 - Rideau Hall, Ottawa, Canada
Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada and Mrs. Sharon Johnston arrived at Rideau Hall for the first time as Governor General. They arrived in an RCMP Landau with their grandchildren, on the grounds of Rideau Hall on October 1st, 2010.
A military Guard composed of Governor General Foot Guards welcomed His Excellency before Ms Sheila Marie-Cook, Secretary to the Governor General welcomed Their Excellencies and their families in their new home.
