Obama's "regulation nation" muzzled?

Anybody paying attention to this 'most transparent ever' government under BHO knows that many new regulations have been implemented, unscreened czars appointed - usually behind closed doors. I've lost count of the number of Executive Orders that he has passed.

I came across a House Bill that seeks to curtail POTUS' disregard of the checks and balances. I must have missed the msm public fanfare on this one, but from UPI:

House OKs bill limiting Obama authority

WASHINGTON, July 26 (UPI) -- The U.S. House Thursday approved a bill that would largely prevent President Barack Obama from creating new federal regulations for the remainder of his term.

The bill would prevent the administration from imposing major new regulations for two years, or until unemployment falls to 6 percent. It would also bar the White House from issuing major new rules between Election Day and Inauguration Day if Obama does not win re-election to a second term, The Hill reported.

Thirteen Democrats joined Republicans in voting for the Red Tape Reduction and Small Business Job Creation Act, which passed 245-172.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., said during debate on the bill Wednesday the president has issued "more than 106 major rules costing more than $46 billion."...

Another Iran missile test - for domestic purposes of course

From The European Union Times:

Iran Missile Test Sends “Shockwave” Across Entire World

Aug 4th, 2012

A grave Ministry of Defense bulletin flashed to Russian Naval and Marine Forces approaching their Mediterranean base in the Syrian port of Tartus is warning that Iran’s successful test-firing of their fourth generation indigenously-made Fateh 110 precision missile earlier today confirms that this Middle Eastern nation on the brink of total war with the West has achieved the ability to detonate at high altitude, and with great range, a much feared EPFCG weapon.

EPFCG stands for “explosively pumped flux compression generator” which is a device used to generate a high-power electromagnetic pulse by compressing magnetic flux using high explosive.

An EPFCG weapon can be used only once as a pulsed power supply since the device is physically destroyed during operation. Most feared about EPFCG weapons is that could be easily carried by a person and can produce pulses in the millions of amperes and tens of terawatts, exceeding the power of a lightning strike by orders of magnitude.

Explosively pumped flux compression generators are popular as power sources for electronic warfare devices known as transient electromagnetic devices that generate an electromagnetic pulse without the costs and side effects of a nuclear weapon. They also can be used to accelerate objects to extreme velocities, and compress objects to very high pressures and densities; this gives them a role as a physics research tool....

Video: Defence Medical Welfare Service ROCK!

Aug 2, 2012 by

The Defence Medical Welfare Service are on 24 hour call to provide practical and emotional support to anyone injured in Afghanistan, and last night their unique service was recognised in an Operational Medical Presentation by the Surgeon General.

Last year the DMWS made 31000 visits to 11500 patients, they are the only forces charity to deploy on operations alongside the military and these medals are in recognition of thheir unique service.

The tireless devotion of the DMWS has not gone unnoticed. As well as providing key support in Afghanistan, the DMWS have a presence at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, throughout the UK and in Germany and Cyprus, they're hoping a new larger HQ will help them to extend their operations still further.

Video: Hey, President Obama!

I'm guessing her name is not 'Julia.'

Jul 31, 2012 by

Hey! Washington politicians, how about this? I'll take care of my insurance, I'll decide what soda to drink and I'll get my own birth control, thank you very much.

All of your new laws, government bailouts and huge deficits haven't made my life any better. So I'll tell you how to do your job for a change: Stop trying to be all things to all people. Protect our country, balance the budget...just like I have to...and then get out of my way.

President Obama, you were supposed to understand all of this. But you spend more, waste more and get less done than anyone I can remember. In my world you leave me with two choices. I can stop believing in my country, or I can give the other guy a try. I know this much Mr. President, I've worked too hard and deserve better than this.

Almost two weeks ago a tragic event took place in Aurora, Colorado when a gunman walked into a movie theater and began shooting, killing 12 people. Three of those who were killed were military personnel.

Petty Officer 3rd Class John Larimer was 27 years old and served in the United States Navy. He was killed protecting his girlfriend from the gunfire.

Staff Sgt. Jesse Childress was 29 years old and served in the United States Air Force Reserves. He was killed protecting a friend who went with him to the movie.

Jonathan T. Blunk was a Navy veteran who left the service in 2009. He served three tours in the Persian Gulf and North Arabian Sea between 2004 and 2009 and was a certified firefighter and emergency medical technician. He died shielding his girlfriend from the gunfire.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives just so others may get to enjoy freedom. For that I am proud to call them Hero.
