Who is Obama - really?

Since Obama first appeared on the US national radar, ongoing questions have been asked, by some, as to who he really is. Many questions - although not raised by the msm - have gone unanswered as Obama and his cronies/allies have worked relentlessly to ensure that definitive details of his background remain clouded in mystery.

Now comes this via The Blaze from someone who says he graduated from Columbia the same year Obama claimed to have also graduated:

I am President Obama’s classmate at Columbia University, Class of ’83. I am also one of the most accurate Las Vegas oddsmakers and prognosticators. Accurate enough that I was awarded my own star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. And I smell something rotten in Denmark. Obama has a big skeleton in his closet. It’s his college records. Call it “gut instinct” but my gut is almost always right. Obama has a secret hidden at Columbia- and it’s a bad one that threatens to bring down his presidency. Gut instinct is how I’ve made my living for 29 years since graduating Columbia.

Obama and his infamous strategist David Axelrod understand how to play political hardball, the best it’s ever been played. Team Obama has decided to distract America’s voters by condemning Mitt Romney for not releasing enough years of his tax returns. It’s the perfect cover. Obama knows the best defense is a bold offense. Just keep attacking Mitt and blaming him for secrecy and evasion, while accusing him of having a scandal that doesn’t exist. Then ask followers like Senator Harry Reid to chase the lead. The U.S. Senate Majority Leader appears to now be making up stories out of thin air, about tax returns he knows nothing about. It’s a cynical, brilliant, and vicious strategy. Make Romney defend, so he can’t attack the real Obama scandal.

This is classic Axelrod. Obama has won several elections in his career by slandering his opponents and leaking sealed documents. Not only do these insinuations and leaks ruin the credibility and reputation of Obama’s opponents, they keep them on the defensive and off Obama’s trail of sealed documents.

By attacking Romney’s tax records, Obama’s socialist cabal creates a problem that doesn’t exist. Is the U.S. Senate Majority Leader making up stories out of thin air? You decide. But the reason for this baseless attack is clear- make Romney defend, so not only is he “off message” but it helps the media ignore the real Obama scandal.

My answer for Romney? Call Obama’s bluff...

As the campaign tactics from the Obama camp get uglier by the day, it seems clear to me that if Romney is serious about becoming the next POTUS, all he has to do is cut through all the bs the Obama camp is determined to throw around, and demand answers: the truth. That simple. To use Obama's own words: they bring a knife. You bring a gun....Yes, I am quoting. For the record: I would never advocate violence against any opponent, especially in the political arena. However, if Romney wants to be a a viable, positive alternative for America in November, he and his campaign need to come out swinging armed with the most effective weapon there is: the truth.

Blackwater trained Canadian soldiers without U.S. permission

U.S. court documents reveal that members of the Canadian armed forces and police were trained for two years by the international security company formerly known as Blackwater without the permission of the U.S. State Department.

News of the training -- which occurred between 2006 and 2008 -- was revealed after U.S. federal court records pertaining to a $7.5-million settlement in a criminal lawsuit against the company were unsealed in North Carolina. The company is now called Academi LLC.

Public Safety Minister Vic Toews and Defence Minister Peter MacKay confirmed Wednesday that members of the RCMP and the military received training by the firm, but would not say when that training took place....

Nixon: "I must put the interests of America first....."

In an evening televised address, President Richard M. Nixon announces his intention to become the first president in American history to resign. With impeachment proceedings underway against him for his involvement in the Watergate affair, Nixon was finally bowing to pressure from the public and Congress to leave the White House. "By taking this action," he said in a solemn address from the Oval Office, "I hope that I will have hastened the start of the process of healing which is so desperately needed in America."

Just before noon the next day, Nixon officially ended his term as the 37th president of the United States. Before departing with his family in a helicopter from the White House lawn, he smiled farewell and enigmatically raised his arms in a victory or peace salute. The helicopter door was then closed, and the Nixon family began their journey home to San Clemente, California. Minutes later, Vice President Gerald R. Ford was sworn in as the 38th president of the United States in the East Room of the White House. After taking the oath of office, President Ford spoke to the nation in a television address, declaring, "My fellow Americans, our long national nightmare is over." He later pardoned Nixon for any crimes he may have committed while in office, explaining that he wanted to end the national divisions created by the Watergate scandal.

On June 17, 1972, five men, including a salaried security coordinator for President Nixon's reelection committee, were arrested for breaking into and illegally wiretapping the Democratic National Committee headquarters in the Washington, D.C., Watergate complex. Soon after, two other former White House aides were implicated in the break-in, but the Nixon administration denied any involvement. Later that year, reporters Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward of The Washington Post discovered a higher-echelon conspiracy surrounding the incident, and a political scandal of unprecedented magnitude erupted.

Col. Mary Louise Milligan Rasmuson
April 11, 1911 - July 30, 2012


Col. Mary Louise Milligan Rasmuson, a member of the first Women's Army Corps, or WAC, passed away on July 30 at the age of 101.

During her service with the WAC, Rasmuson worked with Congress to improve laws regarding female service credit and benefits. After leaving the Army and until her death, Rasmuson remained an ally for female service members and veterans.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives just so others may get to enjoy freedom. For that I am proud to call them Hero.

One year on: Remember their sacrifice

A year ago today, on August 6, 2011, 17 Navy SEALs, five Naval Special Warfare support personnel and one multipurpose working dog died in service to their country during a combat mission in Afghanistan. Alongside these warriors were soldiers from the 135th and 158th Aviation Regiment of the Army, airmen from the 124th Special Tactics Squadron of the Air Force and a contingent from our coalition brothers. Their sacrifice, along with that of all our fallen SEALs, will never be forgotten.

The following sailors assigned to an East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare unit were killed:

The airmen killed were:
