Helmand brigade parades through Westminster

Members of 1st Mechanized Brigade paraded through London to the Palace of Westminster yesterday to mark their return from Afghanistan.
The 120 personnel from the brigade, which has its headquarters in Tidworth, had recently returned from Afghanistan’s Helmand province and following the parade attended a reception at the Houses of Parliament.

The brigade has completed a 6-month summer tour under the command of Brigadier Rupert Jones supporting the Afghan National Security Forces in central Helmand.
The parade was led by mounted policemen and the Band of the Life Guards.
