Project Handclasp
02/22/2011 - U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Robert Medina, a medical subject matter expert deployed in support of Southern Partnership Station (SPS) 2011 aboard high speed vessel Swift (HSV-2), hands a stuffed animal donated by Loving Hugs Inc., to a student at Centro Escolar Republica de Honduras in La Union, El Salvador, Feb. 22, 2011. The toys were delivered as part of Project Handclasp, a Navy program that accepts and transports donations on a space-available basis aboard Navy ships for distribution to foreign recipients. Swift deployed in support of SPS 2011, a deployment of various specialty platforms in the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.
