Dear America: I will NOT pay to be groped!

This just in: Apparently BHO and his cronies want Canadians to pay a 'passenger inspection fee' when entering the US.

The budget U.S. President Barack Obama submitted to Congress on Monday proposes to slap a $5.50 fee on every visitor from Canada who travels to the U.S. by air or by sea.

The fee would not apply to visitors arriving in private vehicles.

Currently, visitors from Canada, Mexico and a number of Caribbean countries are exempt from "passenger inspection fees." [emphasis mine] It's an exemption these countries have enjoyed since 1997.

But Obama's 2012 draft budget includes a legislative proposal to lift those exemptions — a move that a supporting document from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security estimates would bring in an extra $110 million a year.

Revenue from the charges would be used to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection's inspection functions, the document says.

According to Statistics Canada, more than 16.3 million passengers took trans-border flights between Canada and the United States in 2009.

So far, the proposal to end the exemption for visitors from Canada is just that — a proposal. The final budget that gets passed into law often differs substantially from any idea the White House initially floats....

You can read the rest here. My regular readers know I really, really like Americans (yes, your men, too...) but I prefer to choose WHO gropes me. Of course, that America wants us to PAY to be inspected/groped adds insult to injury. I know it is only $5.50, (will that be US $ or Canadian?) and that may be considered 'cheap' for the privilege. I read that this fee would add millions to the US coffers, and goodness knows, I am always willing to stand with my American family and friends.

However, if America expects this Canadian to take one for the team and allow a man in uniform to grope me, I prefer to choose which uniform gets that close and personal. Just sayin'... I want to go on the record as saying it will be a frosty day in hell before I pay anyone to grope me, I don't care what you call it. I will not submit quietly. I got a 'proposal' for Obama: Keep your hands to yourself!
