An Open Letter to Mayor Bloomberg and Electeds: Stop the Ground Zero Mosque At Once

Dear Mayor Bloomberg,

This letter is addressed to the mayor as well as to all public elected officials in New York City to recognize the only reasonable action to take for the City of New York and for all the people of America. In the name of righteousness and common sense, I demand that you to speak out in opposition to the proposed mosque, the 13-story Islamic Cultural Center called the Cordoba House, just a stone’s throw away from Ground Zero where the former World Trade Towers crumbled into dust on September 11, 2001 along with nearly 3000 New Yorkers.

The opening date for the Ground Zero mosque is September 11, 2011, the 10 year anniversary of the horrific terrorist attack which is seared into the memory of all Americans and directly touches the lives of every New Yorker through friends, family or co-workers who perished on that day. As long as we have memory that sustains us, we will never forget the horrific tragedy, and we emphatically oppose the construction of any mosque on the hallowed grounds where our fellow New Yorkers and loved ones were murdered in the horrific plot by 19 Muslim terrorist hijackers. This is not a freedom of religion issue. It is an issue of speaking out in name of righteousness. We have no objections to the construction of mosques. But why at Ground Zero? By the same token, who would allow the symbolic ignominy of a Shinto shrine commemorating Emperor Hirohito at Pearl Harbor with the opening day of December 7th?

The proposed mosque, a joint venture of the Cordoba Initiative and the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA), is presided over by its founder, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf who paid $4.85 million for the building in December 2009. His bogus claim that the money came from New York Muslim contributors needs to be investigated. Where did the $4.85 million come from and above all who is footing the bill for the projected $100 million cost of the project? According to a New York Post report, the founding organizations have accounted for only a fraction of the projected costs and it’s likely that wealthy Saudi benefactors will pick up the tab. The 2009 financial statement of Rauf’s organization, ASMA, shows that they received large donations from foreign sources, including $576,312 from Qatar, a nation notorious for funding international terrorism....

Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creative team behind the Comedy Central

cartoon South Park, were recently “warned” that their lives could be in danger should they continue to poke fun at the Prophet Mohammed, founder of Islam:

We have to warn Matt [Stone] and Trey [Parker] that what they are doing is stupid. They will probably end up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.

Of course, RevolutionMuslim.com didn’t intend to threaten the pair, but merely let them know about the “reality” of the situation.

But:

Despite claims that they did not seek to invite violence against Stone and Parker, the site also reportedly revealed where the "South Park" creators work, and included a sermon calling for punishments for blasphemy against the Muslim religion.

Er, right.

These killers don't deserve the rights of Americans

Stop the trial, Mr. President

Excerpts from Peter Regan's remarks yesterday at a press conference on protests against the "9/11 trial" being held in New York.

I AM here today to express my opinion on this administration's recent decision to put terrorists from a foreign land on trial in a civilian court of law of the United States of America.

I am an American. I am a United States Marine, a New York City firefighter and the son of a New York City firefighter killed on 9/11.

As an American, I believe in the Constitution of the United States. I believe that the rights it guarantees are reserved for American citizens -- not handed out freely to people serving a destructive ideology. The rights that Americans have fought to protect for Americans should not be gifted to people who seek the destruction of this nation.

The horrific attack on our brave American soldiers at Fort Hood brought to the surface many of the things that are wrong with American society. Most of the drive-by media were quick to blame the killings on the “stress” that had been placed on the (alleged) murderer, Maj. Hasan, an Army mental health provider.

In bold print above the fold, the New York Times explained to us the stress of going overseas and being deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan was the “trigger” that pushed Hasan over the edge. At the same time, a veterans group, meeting in Washington with Senate staff about the time of the shooting, said that the Army had failed to increase the number of mental health professionals working with U.S. soldiers coming back from the war zone and this was the reason for the killing spree upon which Maj. Hasan had embarked. Unremarked by the press coverage of the group’s claims was the seemingly obliviousness that Hasan hadn’t even gone to the war zone, let alone come back....

The shocking rise in anti-Jewish attacks demonstrates that the way Israel is presented impacts directly on the safety of British Jews.

According to the Community Security Trust, there were 609 anti-Jewish incidents in the first six months of this year, more than in the whole of 2008. And more than half the incidents reported in January made some reference to Operation Cast Lead in Gaza.

Well, of course. People were being told day in, day out that the Israelis were wantonly killing Palestinian children.

In fact, Israeli figures showed that the vast majority of those killed were Hamas operatives. Given that half of Gaza’s population are children, not to mention the use by Hamas of civilians as human shields, the relatively small number of child casualties testified to the remarkable care Israel took not to kill children.

What makes the Israel-bashing so monstrous is that Israel is being vilified through falsehood and distortion for defending its citizens against attack. This is tantamount to saying it should not defend itself – and therefore should not exist at all....

This all comes as no surprise to those of us paying attention, and is nothing new when you consider the British shameful history towards Israelis determined to have their own homeland. What does disturb more, is how overt this anti-Israel sentiment is. No longer couched in diplomaticspeak, the US and Britain clearly signal that open season on eradicating Israel's existence can continue unchecked. As was evident to any who could read, during the recent efforts by Israel to protect their own, the propaganda machine is still in high gear.

Brothers at War movie in New York

The award-winning documentary "Brothers at War" gives audiences a rare view into life on the frontlines of war.

The movie opens in New York City this weekend, at a series of screenings co-sponsored by Sony at the AMC Loews Village 7. Sony is also inviting New York City police officers, firefighters, and service men and women to attend the weekend screenings.

"Brothers at War," released by Samuel Goldwyn Films, follows Rademacher as he journeys to Iraq to embed with American combat units in an effort to better understand the mission of his two brothers, Capt. Isaac Rademacher, a decorated West Point graduate serving his third tour, and Sgt. Joe Rademacher, a Ranger, combat vet, and army sniper in the 82nd Airborne.

The movie, which has received standing ovations and praise from military families across the country, also offers a close-up glimpse of war's personal impact on the American family, from a brother's point of view.

Given unprecedented access to U.S. and Iraqi combat units, Rademacher takes the audience on reconnaissance patrols on the Syrian border, into sniper "hide sites" in the Sunni Triangle, and through raging machine gun battles with the Iraqi Army.

"Brothers at War" has already opened in more than 41 cities this year, with a number of special screenings on military bases. The movie is produced by Norman S. Powell ("24") and Jake Rademacher, and executive produced by Gary Sinise and David Scantling. It will open at additional locations in coming weeks, including Los Angeles, White Plains, N.Y. and Springfield, Ill., near the Rademacher family home in Decatur, Ill.

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the White House, not a creature was stirring . . . except President-elect Barack Obama’s crack team of internationally-known interior designers. The One has decreed an extreme makeover for the Executive mansion, replete with new paint, shampooed carpets, and an oil painting of Jeremiah Wright – on a velvet canvas, of course – in the Lincoln Bedroom. Naturally, all furniture used by Dick “Darth Vader” Cheney will be dismantled and burned at taxpayer expense.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care . . . because most Americans couldn’t afford to run their gas-powered dryers anymore. Actually, considering the rising cost of firewood in this battered economy, even the most lucrative businessman has been forced to burn drywall, money (in small denominations), and family photo albums for heat! There are even reports of some of the more “intellectually challenged” attempting to burn Harry Reid, Leif Garret, and Elijah Wood. It’s sad, really.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of sugarplums danced in their heads. Visions of sugarplums are all the kids will have once “Hillary Care” is implemented. Sugars, starches, and fats are going the way of the dinosaur, and they will be replaced by “appropriate” foods, such as Brussels sprouts, lima beans, and a hundred other items that children wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot spoon. They will be unhappy, but hey, the government knows better than they do. Just ask them.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter. Unfortunately, it was a pack of wild hippies and atheists, hell-bent on protesting the neighborhood’s Christmas trees, Hanukkah menorahs, and Kwanzaa decorations. They picketed the residents with glee, oblivious to the irony of tree-huggers trying to make a point by using wooden signs....

A week ago, Barack Obama and John McCain spoke to the influential Hispanic group, the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). They did not speak together (maybe that was a good thing) but their appearances were a few hours apart. Their quest? To court the Latin American vote.

Obama made many passionate statements about his support for immigration reform during his talk to NCLR, but his comments clash with claims by Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) who says that Obama was "absolutely AWOL on the issue of immigration." Diaz-Balart also claims that "Sen. Obama joined up with one of the most anti-immigrant senators, Sen. [Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.)], to try to kill the second leg of that stool, the temporary-worker program, [which] was an absolutely indispensable ingredient, and will be in the future, to immigration reform."

Naturally, Obama also took an obligatory jab at McCain:

"I know Senator McCain used to buck his party on immigration in fighting for comprehensive reform, and I admired him for it and joined him in it. But when he was running for his party's nomination, he abandoned that courageous stand and said that he wouldn't even support his own legislation if it came up for a vote.

"I think it's time for a president who won't walk away from something as important as comprehensive reform just because it becomes politically unpopular. I will make it a top priority in my first year as the president of the United States of America."...
