[Update] The Daily Caller reports the NH AG is "probing the state’s voting procedures," in response to the video below.
Go read that...I'd like to say that I am confident that change will come from this development. I'd like to.
Earlier story follows. *
Where I live, if you want to vote in any level of elections, you have to produce voter ID to prove that you are a) eligible to vote and b) that you are registered to vote. In order to do that, you have to produce legitimate identification. This has been so for as long as I remember.
I have watched with interest the debate in the US about whether demanding ID before a person can mark a ballot, and participate in the democratic process, is too demanding for Americans. No definitive policy seems to have been decided
With official election season now underway in the US, again the topic of voters needing to provide their ID in order to vote, and the possibility of voter fraud has been raised.
Then yesterday over at Wake Up America, I found this post:

Video- I See Dead People..... Ballots For The Deceased At The New Hampshire Primary
By Susan Duclos
The video below shows how easily it is to commit voter fraud when a voter is not required to show identification.
Description:On January 10th, Project Veritas reporters walked into New Hampshire Polling Locations during the Presidential Primaries, saying dead people's names. We stated the name of a dead person we got from the NH obituaries. The names of the deceased were both Registered Republican and Democrats And in almost every case, saying a dead person's name, we were handed a ballot to cast a vote. We used no misrepresentation and no false pretenses. in fact, in almost every case, we insisted we show ID and they insisted that we vote without showing ID.
H/T The Daily Caller.
Democrats and liberals argue against voter ID laws.
Go figure.
Indeed! And it is just that easy for dead people to vote, folks.
As Susan said to me in the comments of that post:
We show ID for buying alcohol , renting hotel rooms, airline tickets and boarding, and a variety of other things, but for something as important as voting our elected officials it somehow too onerous.
I don't know about any of you, but for me, voting for our elected representatives is such an important duty, and such an essential part of a democracy, that being asked to produce valid ID should be a requirement. After all, we wouldn't want there to be any question that someone claiming public office was fraudulently elected, would we?
No ID, no vote. That simple.
Get on it, America.

But, but, but....
It is racist and classist -- nevermind that they need them for medicare, medicaid, welfare, bank accounts, check cashing services...
Oh, it is against young people -- I have honestly never net a young person rich or poor who doesn't have an id... The police seem to be able to ID youth offenders....
When my mother passed away, it took me more than a decade to get her removed from the voter rolls -- well, I can't say she was removed, I just don't get her ballot in my mailbox anymore.
In Oregon, you register to vote by filling out a postcard - you mail it in and your ballot is mailed to your house. ID never enters the picture at any level - unless you do motor voter and register while getting an ID which we do provide to illegals.
We even had a Governor say openly that it was OK with him if any resident, legal or otherwise, voted in Oregon elections, but that they shouldn't fill out the national part.
Great post, thanks for passing it along. Amazing how something that should be a no brainer becomes a political battle.
