Just when you thought Joe Biden couldn't be any more out of touch with reality, comes this.
From This Ain't Hell...
I'll Miss Joe Bite-Me in 2012
December 19th, 2011Ya know, when Joe Biden is gone, I’ll miss the fact that he always makes blog-worthy comments on slow news days. Like this one from Politico;
The Taliban is not our enemy and the President has never said they were…that might explain why they’re not doing their best to wipe them out....Look, the Taliban per se is not our enemy. That’s critical. There is not a single statement that the president has ever made in any of our policy assertions that the Taliban is our enemy because it threatens U.S. interests. If, in fact, the Taliban is able to collapse the existing government, which is cooperating with us in keeping the bad guys from being able to do damage to us, then that becomes a problem for us. So there’s a dual track here:
And you just know there is more here.
Monkey In the Middle responds to Joe's latest assinine pronouncement too:
Monday, December 19, 2011If They Are Not Our Enemy Who Is?
It is a wonder that this idiot has lived this long without a brain.In an interview with Leslie Gelb in Newsweek, Vice President Joe Biden says:If the Taliban is not seen as our enemy can you guess who is?Look, the Taliban per se is not our enemy. That’s critical. There is not a single statement that the president has ever made in any of our policy assertions that the Taliban is our enemy because it threatens U.S. interests. If, in fact, the Taliban is able to collapse the existing government, which is cooperating with us in keeping the bad guys from being able to do damage to us, then that becomes a problem for us.
.Via Ben Smith. Interestingly, in the rest of the interview on foreign policy, Biden and Gelb never discuss that just a few years ago they co-wrote a proposal to partition Iraq into three separate nations. Fortunately, their advice was ignored at the time. And Biden this time only says he would "look for" an "Iraq united."
Monkey In the Middle has this filed under "Moonbats and "Idiots." Appropriate. Scary, too, to realise that this brain cell challenged moron is Vice President of the US.
Despite what anyone else says, I can't wait for 2012!
UPDATE: Apparently the White House is standing by their errrrrr man.
