Families who have lost loved ones were honored March 31 at the annual TAPS Honor Guard Gala in Washington, DC. [Pentagon Channel]

Helping the surviving families of our fallen military heroes, was the focus of the 2009 TAPS Honor Guard Gala, which raised support for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors. In an address to the attendees, Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, talks about how he considers TAPS to be the "gold standard" in organizations. Hear from surviving family members about what the organization means to them, and how TAPS helps anyone grieving the death of someone who served in the military.
